As a smaller company we are by necessity much closer to our customers and by default much more open to their suggestions and thoughts.  Internally, with fewer people, you get a close-knit group of people who interact constantly. And a more friendly work environment, coupled with more contact with our customers, means more genuine bonds are formed.

Working with a small company means there are fewer layers of management. For us, this means you will get to speak to whoever is actually in charge. A direct line to the source and you won’t have to deal with people who don’t have the authority to make the changes you desire. Furthermore, the customer genuinely is important to us as a small business, because we only manage a handful of projects at a time. We are focused on you and won't lose sight of your requirements.

As a small business we have a lean company structure; because we have less people, we have less layers of management. Efficient structures are very important. People know who does what, whose job it is to do which tasks, so when you throw that inevitable spanner in the works, we know who in our team is the right person to deal with it, and deal with it quickly. This makes us flexible, adaptable and efficient when compared to a larger IT services consultancy. Our employees are more engaged in the business, understanding the bigger picture and the customer’s needs, which allows for both an understanding of how the company works and increased customer satisfaction.

In addition, internal familiarity makes for a more friently working environment. There is more enthusiasm and energy going into each of the projects because of it. And finally, a more friendly work environment, coupled with more contact with the customer means you form genuine bonds with us. This, in turn, makes it easier to talk about your project and discuss specific elements of it. Either parts you aren’t happy about or that aren’t quite what was envisaged.

Because we are a smaller company we have a more direct focus and will naturally specialise in fewer fields of expertise. However, we do more than the tin suggests, that speciality is our bread and butter, our raison d’étre. There is an argument, though, that by specialising like this, our customers won’t get the full service that they need, something that a larger company could supply. Arguably as a small company one of our most powerful tools is our network. Our ability to collaborate with others who also specialise in a given area.

There are no corporate hoops to jump through to work with the best in the business. The ability to pass along work, is immensely beneficial for us, because the more we collaborate, the more people will collaborate with us. It becomes a rich source of new business. This is equally beneficial for you, the customer, because you get a specialised, attentive group of individuals ready to work on your project and achieve the best results possible.

In summary, whilst being a small company does have its limitations, we are able to turn those limitations into benefits through collaborative work. You get a more personable, adaptable, and personal service from a group of passionate specialists. The advantage of this network is that each business knows the strengths and weaknesses of the other.
